Anil Dharker, Journalist and Author passes away
Anil Dharker, Journalist and Author passed away on Friday morning. As per writer Meenal Baghel's tweet, he was hospitalised for a heart ailment.
During the span of his multi decade career, Dharker had been a columnist, writer, architect, member of the advisory committee of the film censor board and much more. He was also the Editor of several publications including Mid-day and The Independent.
Dharekar founded the Mumbai International Literary Festival, and responsible for opening the Akashwani Auditorium in South Bombay as an art movie theatre. His columns, have appeared in leading publications both in India and abroad, and he is also the author of The Romance of Salt.
