Anita Munro appointed as the CIO of GroupM

Anita Munro has been appointed as the chief investment officer for North Asia and South East of GroupM and will also be the chair of the APAC Investment Council. As the CIO, Munro will guide the strategies for investment in all the markets in Asia Pacific. She will be reporting to Andrew Meaden, the global chief investment officer of GroupM and Ashutosh Srivastava, GroupM APAC CEO. She will constitute the GroupM’s APAC leadership team. She has replaced Nick Binns, the former GroupM APAC CIO, who has got back to the UK.

Munro has nearly two decades of experience of working in agency and has been the chief investment officer of Mindshare APAC, where she played a crucial role in managing the investment operations at 16 regional offices, for important clients including Jetstar, L’Oreal, Ford, Mendelez, Huawei, also leading the media business for LVMH at L’Atelier.

Munro said “GroupM’s wide reach and investment potential, will help clients get the optimum value out of their investments, dividing their spends on media in an efficient manner, while leading to the origin of a contemporary era of media”.
