Anushka Sharma credits WWO for the success of Phillauri’s digital campaign

Clean Slate Films is driving progress on digital to generate excitement about its latest movie- ‘Phillauri’. The film has been touted to have one of the most innovative movie marketing campaigns in recent times.

Customizing their own way of marketing a film, the marketeers of the film have identified its strength and put in all their focus to enhance the same. In a recent interview, Anushka Sharma revealed the people behind their viral movie marketing campaign. The social media of the film is being handled by ‘World Wide Open’. Their campaign called #ShashiWasThere is a super success and has received a phenomenal response by the digital audience.

Given that the story line of the film 'Phillauri'; revolves around the friendly spirit Shashi, played by Anushka Sharma, the marketing strategy was built on showing her present at some of the most iconic moments of our history. Anushka Sharma’s character's videos/images have been superimposed on posts that highlight her traits especially her contagious sense of humour. In a recent interview Anushka Sharma also credited Nikita Khandelwal, the Strategy Head at WWO for coming up with this genius idea and ensuring its’ flawless execution.

The actor-turned-producer also tweeted introducing the girl gang behind making the film’s campaign a digital marvel.
