App-Based End-to-end Parcel/Baggage Delivery Service BookBaggage Launched on Republic Day
BookBaggage, a revolutionary startup, which will help people travel and transport their luggage/parcels hassle-free, has now launched its very own App-based Parcel/Baggage delivery service with Indian Railways on 26th January 2021. The app will simplify the way you carry luggage. Similarly, for business customers, they can send their parcels hassle-free door-to-door, and BookBaggage will take care of all related worries. The startup provides luggage delivery service options for passengers – from home to home and station to home, while the passenger travels without the hassle of taking care of any luggage through the journey. Moreover one can track the entire luggage/parcel journey through the App. BookBaggage started these services for airline passengers and now Railways passengers and customers will avail of these simple but hi-tech services. The service will be provided in collaboration with Indian Railways.

Book Baggage aims to handle the burden of their customer’s baggage from their home to the place they are visiting, be it at their relatives or a hotel room. The pickup service starts at Rs. 125 for the first bag(weighing up to 25kg) depending on the distance from station, and Rs. 50 for subsequent luggage and a nominal charge for transporting the luggage to the destination city by Indian Railways. Similar home drop charges are levied based on distance in destination city. Luggage exceeding 25kg will incur an extra cost. The maximum luggage that can be taken at one time is 35 Kg (based on the guidelines by WHO) – heavier luggage can be handled at extra cost.
The App is simple and easy to use. Customer can track the luggage from door to door through the App, from anywhere. BookBaggage provides luggage insurance to its passenger customers. BookBaggage has simultaneously launched App-based end-to-end parcel services for customers wanting to send parcels by train. These include individual as well as business customers, at affordable dynamic rates based on weight, distance, etc.
