ECube Global College in association with Newcastle University offers a new programme in India that involves various courses in Engineering. The first batch of Students will be given the liberty of completing their first year of the Engineering course with ECube Global in India, thereafter proceed to Newcastle University for the second and third years.

on 24th Feb, 2011 Dr. John Terry, Head of the International Office at Newcastle University, came to India to meet his students in advance in order to reassure them that their transition to the University will be smooth and seamless. He has assured that the students can arrive at the University up to one month before their semester begins. They will be taken around the campus, given additional lectures to acquaint them to the teaching procedures and will be introduced to the culture of Newcastle University and guaranteed campus accommodations.

Speaking about this programme Sandeep Goenka, Director, ECube Global College, said, "This seminar was organized for the students because the lure of the far-off land, the thrill of crossing the seven seas, the dream of studying in a foreign university is still very much sought after by many Indian students. Those who pursue their academic dreams overseas should be mentally prepared to take on responsibility for all aspects of their lives'."

When asked about their association with ECube Global and the recent incident on foreign visas to the USA, Dr. John Terry said, "The credibility of the universities can be easily verified on the internet. With regards to ECube Global College, we have recognized our association with them on the university India pages. Also, we are pleased to acknowledge the commitment and sincerity of the college in handling the students, our curriculum as well as the association."

He adds, "As part of our commitment to the association, Newcastle University has placed a member of Academic Staff from the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering in ECube on a permanent basis."

The University is expecting a majority of the ECube Global students to arrive for their second year of their respective courses on the 5th of September. Bearing the concept of "travel with your friends" in mind, the college is ensuring that the group travels and chooses accommodation in such a way that at least 3 to 4 of their batch-mates will always be together. This instills a sense of confidence and belonging in the students and will help them adapt faster to the new environment, culture and people.
