Artist Aloud is back with 6th edition of Artist Aloud Music Awards

With the growth of the independent music space, the 6^th edition of Artist Aloud Music Awards – a Hungama property – promises to be bigger and grander. The prestigious event has witnessed performances by popular artists like Band Sanam, Rabbi Shergil, Shibani Kashyap, etc in its past editions. Artist Aloud Music Awards has grown in popularity with each year.

The renowned platform will honour a large number of artists from India and around the globe, recognizing the amazing wealth of talent across Pop, Rock, Fusion, and Global Music genres. The digital awards are based on both, jury and public voting, with the first round of public voting beginning on Friday, 9^th February in the run up to the Top 20 shortlisted names across Best Song, Best Male, Best Female, and Best Group categories, followed by the second round of voting which will decide the winners. This year there will be 19 Jury Categories which are over and above the 4 Consumer voted categories as well as 2 Special Categories.

During the consumer voting period, fans get the opportunity to make their voice heard and vote for their favourite artists as well as bands across genres and categories. Talking about AAMA Awards Bollywood’s desi girl Priyanka Chopra said, “I think this is a great way of encouraging new talent and giving people a voice, I think that's what Artist Aloud is doing and that's beautiful.” 

Talking about the announcement, Soumini Sridhara Paul, Vice President, Artist Aloud said, “We are taking things a step ahead with the 6^th edition of Artist Aloud Music Awards and felicitating a large number of artists on the platform. The crème-de-la-crème of the music world residing as jury members and intensive rounds of public voting will ensure that the best talents take the awards home in the most democratic way. The event is a great way to celebrate independent music and recognize talented artists in the space. All the winners will be officially announced in April 2018 at a Grand Finale in the presence of the music fraternity including artists, industry head honchos and partners. ”
