Arun Iyer gives insights on the Inaugural AdTalks series

Advertising Club Madras launched its Gyan Series in a new avatar, AdTalks. Speaking on the inaugural event Arun Iyer, Founding Partner stress the importance of agencies to reclaim their position as problem solvers in addition to providing creative solutions.

Speaking about how the e-commerce boom around 2013-14 started bring about a change in the way he looked at advertising, Arun remarked that agencies were looked upon as trusted partners where the client shared their business problems and how agencies came up with creative solutions to bring about a change but now all that changed to just agencies being outside the circle and being handed out a brief to execute campaigns.

He also stressed about continuous learning and the need to adapt technology in the current times. Arun took the audience through a journey of works done for Levis, Byjus ,Google, Tanishq, Surf Excel etc and narrated several interesting snippets about each campaign. The work done on Levis Women’s wear he said was launched in India and then taken to the other markets which is unusual as usually it was the other way around. “We are a Skin in-game marketing consulting firm “remarked Arun Iyer, Spring Marketing Capital he said does not stop with providing marketing and advertising solution but also invests in start-ups where they see potential and scale and in turn takes complete responsibility of the marketing of that particular business .

Paul Anthony , President of Advertising Club Madras said that they were elated to kick off AdTalks on a vibrant note and said the club has planned for an exciting speaker line-up in the series to follow.
