Asianet lines up special programmes for Onam

Malayalam general entertainment channel Asianet has lined up a special two-week programming schedule comprising comedy shows, films, music-based shows , interviews, cockery shows and other specials on the occasion of Onam.

In addition to exclusive programmes with popular actors like Mammootty , NivinPauly and Jayaram one of the major highlights of Asianet’s Onam 2017 offerings is ninw movie premieres.

On 3September, also known as ‘Uthradam Day’, the channel will premiere four films including “ OruMexiacanAparatha , staring : Tovino , Neeraj Madhav , Gayathri Suresh  etc  “  at 9:00 am, followed by ‘Achayans, starring: Jayaram, UnniMukundan , Amala Paul etc’ at 12:30 pm and ‘Pulimurugan , starring : Mohanlal, KamaliniMugharjeeetc’ at 3.30 pm. In the evening, the channel will telecast ‘Saghavu , starring : NivinPauly , Gayathri Suresh, Aparna Gopinath etc’ at 7 pm.

Other programmes on ‘Uthradam Day’ includeSneak preview of  new Box Office releases “ Onachithrangal2017“  “ at 7.30am , “ OnaveyililOnathumbi – Part 1 “ at 8.30am , onam special programme “ Ee Onam Ammamarodoppam “ at 12 noon and special programme based on new programme “ Dare the Fear” , “ Arkkundechangoottam “  at 10.30 pm.

The next day (4 September), also known as ‘Thiruvonam Day’, will commence with a special chat show with Chief Minister of Kerala , PinarayiVIjayan and Ulakanayakan Kamal Hassan at 8am.

Movies for the day include ‘Swarnakaduva’ at 9:00 am, ‘PuthanPanam “ at 12.30 pm, ‘CO. Sairabanu “  at 3.30 pm and ‘Bahubali - 2 “ at 7 pm.

The line-up of special programmes includes “ OnaveyililTharathumbi  part 2 “  at 7:00 am, chat show with NivinPauly at 7.30am and onam special telefilm “ Manchester vazhiManjadimukku “ at 12.00noon

The other special programmes on Onam week, Special Cookery Show focusing on traditional Onam recipes by celebrities  ,  Comedy capsules centered around Onam themes and social satire,presented by  Mimicry /Cine  Artistes  SajuNavodya and Noby  “Onapperi “ and   special game featuring leading serial artistes : Onappooram “

Meanwhile, Asianet’s sister channel Asianet Plus will also air special programmes to ring in the festivities of Onam.

The channel will showcase exclusive interviews with leading artistes in onam weeks.

The network’s movie channel Asianet Movies will air special programmes for the festival including celebrity interviews and a bouquet of movies including ‘ThingalMuthalVellivare “ , “ Ohm SanthiOsana “ , “ Janatha Garage “ , “ MannarMathayi Speaking 2 “ and  Magic Magic ‘   on ‘Uthradam Day’.

On Thiruvonam Day, the channel will air “ KunjiRamayanam “ , Vismayam “ , Kammattipadam “ , Oppam “ , “ Action Hero Biju “ , “ Ulsahacommitte “ and  “ Gangothri “  .
