Audible, a leading producer and provider of spoken-word entertainment and audiobooks, today announced the release of the multi-cast mystery audio drama podcast, The Missed written by Australian talent Sami Shah and produced by Screen West development initiative.

The Missed is based in the Western Australian wheatbelt, where Anushey, Shahab and their daughter find safety in the sleepy town of Nunich. But when their daughter disappears without a trace, and the town is plunged into chaos and violence, their newfound sense of security is shattered. Suspicions flare, slurs are hurled and tensions rise. Suddenly, the town of Nunich and everyone in it find themselves caught in a storm of media frenzy, political corruption and even terrorist threats. Then another little girl goes missing.

Told from the shifting perspectives of a refugee mother, town mayor, local journalist and a weary detective, The Missed isn’t just about the race to find a missing child, but also to save a community's soul.

Australian actress and Bollywood star Pallavi Sharda (Lion, Begum Jaan, The One, Hawaizaada) stars in this recently launched 8-part Audible Original Podcast.  Pallavi voices concerned mother Anushey Syed in the series and is joined by a diverse cast. Audible has established a reputation for supporting diverse stories and talent (winning a second Walkley for Media Diversity this year for The Greatest Menace, the first was for No Gangster’s in Paradise in 2020).
