Auto Expo 2020 Goes Green With Twitter

As #AutoExpo2020 kickstarts on 6th Feb 2020 in Greater Noida, Twitter joins forces with key automakers to launch and showcase their vision for the future. Connecting audiences with the latest conversations and developments from the Expo, Twitter is working with leading auto brands such as Maruti (@Maruti_Corp), Morris Garages India (@MGMotorIn) and Hyundai India (@HyundaiIndia). On-ground activities will amplify how audiences on the platform experience the event on their timelines.

According to third-party research data commissioned by Twitter, 80% of urban Indians own a car, and 92% of the population on the service are likely to act upon auto-related content on the platform, such as visiting the manufacturers’ websites. Findings from the study suggest that trends and car launches in the auto industry are some of the most sought after content on the platform.

More than one million conversations were reported around sustainability and environment on Twitter India in 2019. This year, #AutoExpo2020 puts top gear on exploring the world of mobility with cleaner and greener technologies. In order to provide audiences with a much deeper perspective on the topic, the Maruti Pavilion at the Expo will accommodate a #TwitterGreenZone where renowned auto influencers share their views on the evolution of the Indian auto industry. Audiences on Twitter will have first-hand access to the conversation from the Maruti Pavilion as this content will be published first on Twitter.

Morris Garages India (@MGMotorIn) and CNBC (@CNBCTV18News) will be producing a series of three videos at the Twitter Tech Zone in the Morris Garages Pavilion. In addition, Rajeev Chaba (@rajeev_chaba), MD and President MG Motor India will be at the Morris Garages Pavillion to talk about the company’s focus on green mobility initiatives.

Hyundai India (@HyundaiIndia) has partnered with Twitter to utilise the recently launched Promoted Trend Spotlight, which allows brands to be highly visible on Twitter’s Explore tab. Hyundai will be showcasing some of its premium cars such as the next-gen Creta, the Grand i10 Nios 1.0, and will be launching the much awaited Hyundai Tucson facelift.

Twitter audiences will be the first to read reviews and watch the series auto X-Factor via the autoX (@autoX) handle. Jagran News (@JagranNews) will also feature Twitter-first bilingual content to engage audiences live and exclusive from the #AutoExpo2020.

Over the years, auto brands have leveraged Twitter’s customisable advertising solutions to drive impactful communications with their audiences. In line with this, the #AutoExpo2020 is expected to generate highly engaging conversations and buzz on the platform.
