Aviva shortlists 5 agencies for global media duties

The world's fifth largest insurance group ' Aviva ' has selected five agencies for its global media planning and buying account. Aviva's Indian arm currently operates with ZenithOptimedia as their media buying and planning agency. ZenithOptimedia. ZenithOptimedia, Maxus, Carat, OMD and Initiative are the five participating agencies that are contesting for the Rs 25 crore account.

The pitch is taking place in India.

Aviva's aim for inciting the pitch is to consolidate its media structures with one agency or network. This will affect all of the 28 markets where the company has a presence. Recently, Aviva had given the mandate of its creative account to BBDO India as a constitute of alignment with the global positioning of the brand.

The markets that will get affected with this development in the Asia-Pacific region are India, Australia, China, Korea, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. Globally, Aviva's different sections of account are handled by different agencies.
