AXN brings Cyril's Family Vacation to India!

Continuing the thrilling experience for its audiences, AXN India brings a new stimulating dose of excitement with Cyril’s Family Vacation: Hawaii Edition show. With this show, Cyril, world’s most renowned illusionist will bring back another magical experience after the captivating series “Simply Cyril”, which premiered on AXN previously. Cyril’s Family Vacation: Hawaii Edition premieres on Sunday 17th June, 2012 at 8.30 pm exclusively on AXN.

 

For this epic 6 episode series, Cyril shows us his personal side when he takes his “family” on a much needed vacation. Turns out, the family has a little magic in their DNA… and when combined with charm and wit, a little bit goes a long way.

 

Our iconic sorcerer-in-disguise will infiltrate popular vacation spots and common everyday places in and around Hawaii in order to bring onlookers a magical moment of wonder. Tourists and locals alike will think that there’s nothing out of the ordinary… that they’re just speaking to another friendly vacationer… 

 

…until something completely unexpected and unexplainable happens.

 

Maybe the wannabe surfer suddenly begins to defy gravity. Or maybe the nice looking older gentleman on the golf course uses his magic putter to create havoc on the 17th hole. Or, the unassuming grandmother sneezes a canary from her handkerchief. Whatever the magical instance, the targets are completely unaware that they’re being played; and every moment is captured with both exposed and hidden cameras.

 

A departure from the traditional street magic series that established Cyril, CYRIL’S FAMILY VACATION features a new and innovative way of magic storytelling. With one of Japan’s award winning special effects make-up teams at work, each character is brought to life with striking and convincing realism. Set against the scenic beauty of Hawaii, CYRIL’S FAMILY VACATION is an addictive magical social experiment that tests the limits of what is and is not possible. 

 

 

Crazy Uncle Richard – We all have one. A real ladies man, Uncle Richard can always be found sporting his favorite cigar and his stylish fedora. He loves golf and the good life. He was a notorious Casanova in his younger days and truth be told, he has not lost his touch. His over-the-top persona is bolstered by the strange magical things which always seem to happen whenever he’s around.

 

Grandma Magi – She’s the matriarch of Cyril’s family, an adorable old lady that has a taste for mischief. Although she gets the senior’s discount, she has the youthful energy of a child, and she’s always got a story to tell. The secret to preserving her youthfulness is she loves to be around young people. They help her to appreciate the natural magic of every moment. 

 

Cousin Tiny - This is one dude that you just cannot miss; most likely because he’s blocking your way. He’s never met a treat he didn’t like. But don’t let his size fool you, he has a knack for defying gravity. His bubbly personality and goofy laugh are infectious. As far as Tiny is concerned, he thinks he taught Cyril everything he knows about magic. 

 

Cyril’s Family Vacation plays with human reactions - the close up reactions of those experiencing the impossible as well as the reactions of those who witness the magical commotion from a far. Expect the unexpected.

 

Cyril’s Family Vacation: Hawaii Edition is going to be aired in India 17th June, 2012 onwards every Sunday at 8.30 pm exclusively on AXN.
