Bajaj, Renault and Nissan's ultra low-cost car project on track!

Bajaj Auto ' one of the India's largest car makers, joined hands with Nissan and its French partner Renault in 2008 to manufacture an ultra low-cost car.

However, recently, Nissan confessed that it has not found an engineering solution for its proposed 'ultra low-cost car' for India. And, Renault-Nissan's decision to produce cars in alliance with Hinduja's-owned Ashok Leyland is a matter of worry.

However, Bajaj Auto on such movements of their partners said the small car project is going on as per the plan. And, the partners plan to produce cars with Hinduja's won't hurt its venture with the Franco-Japanese automobile company to manufacture a low-cost car.

As per media reports, Bajaj clearly stated that the ultra-low-cost car project between Bajaj, Renault and Nissan is on the one hand, and the price centric is $4,500-5,000 car is on the other hand which are not overlapping and conflicting with one another.
