Ballr takes title sponsorship for West Indies Tri-Series cricket

Mobile fan engagement platform, Ballr announced today that it will be the title sponsor for the West Indies Tri-Nation cricket series.

The series, which includes Australia, South Africa and the West Indies, will run from June 3 to June 26 and will be known as the Ballr Cup.
Ballr’s micro fantasy game Next Over, where fans go head to head to predict the outcome of the next over by selecting the sequence of the next 6 deliveries, will be available for fans to play in India, Australia, South Africa and selected countries in the Caribbean.

Unlike traditional fantasy sport formats, Ballr focuses on purely mobile, free each day, rapid-fire micro games, and does not operate in monetary gratification. Fan’s compete for points and leaderboard position which entitles them to prizes such as sports equipment, apparel, cars and money-can’t-buy-experience such as meeting their favourite cricketing legend at this year Tri-Nations match in the West Indies.

 The Ballr platform, owned by parent company Fantasy Sport Technologies, launched earlier this month in Delhi alongside the much-celebrated Indian spin bowler and brand ambassador Harbhajan Singh.
 Ballr, which has received $4 million in seed capital, plans pursue a market of an estimated 400 million adult sports fans in Asia Pacific in the coming months, with soccer and basketball games on the horizon. To date Ballr has received enormous attention and interest on social media with over 1 million Facebook fans.
 The Ballr app will be available from the Google Play store in India, Australia, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
