BARC ratings Wk 12: DD National enters the top 10 GECs list once again

BARC ratings for Week 12 (March 19-25) of 2016 saw DD National back among the top 10 Hindi GECs on the back of the ongoing ICC World Cup T20 match telecasts. The India-Pakistan and India-Bangladesh match telecasts were the most viewed shows on Hindi GECs.

Star Plus continued to lead the Hindi GECs list in Week 12 with gross viewership of 710,064. The channel witnessed a marginal dip in its gross viewership from 714,086 last week.

Colors, too, held firm at No. 2. The channel saw a fall in its gross viewership in Week 12 from 704,932 last week to 657,379, after seeing an increase in gross viewership last week.

Placed at the third spot, Zee TV, too, registered a fall in its gross viewership to 613,620 in Week 12 from 646,350 last week.

Zee Anmol returned to the fourth position this week after slipping a notch to No. 5 in Week 11 with a gross viewership of 568,682, compared to 498,891 last week.

Sony Pal slipped to the fifth spot in Week 12, garnering gross viewership of 533,954, a marginal increase from 520,529 last week.

Star Utsav remained at the sixth place with a gross viewership of 519,207 in Week 12, registering an increase over last week’s figures of 492,293.

DD National made an entry in the seventh spot, registering a gross viewership of 517,653. The national broadcaster was previously in the top 10 Hindi GECs list during the Asia Cup cricket series last month.

DD National’s entry pushed down Life OK, Rishtey and Sony SAB a notch down, while Sony Entertainment Television went out of the list.

Life OK slipped to No. 8 with gross viewership of 468,788 in Week 12, a fall from last week’s figures of 487,474.

Rishtey was down a notch at No. 9 in Week 12. The channel, too, witnessed a fall in its gross viewership – from 450,993 in Week 11 to 433,109 this week.

Placed at the tenth spot, Sony SAB continued to witness a dip in its gross viewership this week as well at 387,634 from 390,053 in Week 11.
