BARC ratings Wk 15: Huge gain for Life OK amid decline for most Hindi GECs

BARC ratings for Week 15 (April 9-15) of 2016 saw Life OK make a giant leap from No. 7 last week to No. 4 this week, a little behind Zee TV.

Star Plus continued at No. 1, but witnessed a slight fall in its gross viewership in Week 15 at 700,822, compared to 712,595 from 710,397 last week.

Placed at the second spot, Colors continued to witness growth in its gross viewership this week as well. The channel garnered gross viewership of 674,344, a marginal hike from 670,966 in Week 14.

Zee TV remained at the third spot, garnering gross viewership of 554,385 in Week 15, a slight dip from last week’s 593,354.

Life OK jumped to the fourth spot from the seventh spot last week, entering the top five club. The channel registered gross viewership of 519,305 in Week 15, as against 487,736 in Week 14.

Sony Pal continued at No. 5 in Week 15, garnering gross viewership of 511,913, a marginal increase from 507,888 last week.

Zee Anmol dropped to the sixth spot this week from No. 4 in Week 14. The channel also witnessed a fall in its gross viewership from 573,906 last week to 489,059 this week.

Rishtey climbed up a notch to No. 7 in Week 15, garnering a gross viewership of 456,334. The channel was placed in the eighth spot last week with a gross viewership of 470,768.

On the other hand, Star Utsav was down two spots at No. 8 in Week 15, witnessing a steep fall in its gross viewership to 405,153 from 492,797 last week.

Both Sony SAB and Sony Entertainment Television also witnessed fall in gross viewership in Week 15.

Placed at No. 9, Sony SAB garnered a gross viewership of 375,739 this week, compared to 382,765 in Week 14.

Sony Entertainment Television, which had re-entered the top 10 Hindi GECs list last week, continued in the tenth spot this week as well with gross viewership of 296,067, a slight dip from 290,856 in Week 14.
