BARC ratings Wk 21: Star Plus retains its lead in urban viewership

BARC ratings for Week 21 (May 21-27) of 2016 saw no change in the ranking of the top six Hindi GECs [HSM (Urban) : NCCS All : 4+ Individuals]. Colors, Sony, Sony Pal and Star Utsav saw an increase in their gross viewership this week.

Star Plus managed to hold on to its numero uno position in Week 21 with gross viewership of 429,608 [HSM (Urban) : NCCS All : 4+ Individuals], a decline from 431,857 recorded last week.

Colors remained at No. 2 spot, garnering gross viewership of 428,420 in Week 21 [HSM (Urban) : NCCS All : 4+ Individuals], an increase from 414,213 recorded last week.

Zee TV continued in its third spot in Week 21 as well, registering gross viewership of 291,806, a fall from gross viewership of 315,703 last week.

Life OK, too, continued in its fourth spot this week, garnering gross viewership of 270,565, a decline from gross viewership of 283,930 in Week 20.

Placed at the fifth spot, Sony SAB garnered gross viewership of 240,562 in Week 21, a fall from 264,192 reported last week.

Sony Entertainment Television, which was the highest climber in Week 19, remained in the sixth spot with a gross viewership of 233,351 in Week 21, an increase from last week’s gross viewership of 216,711.

Sony Pal climbed up a notch to be placed at No. 7 in Week 21 with gross viewership of 121,712, an increase from 113,523 last week.

&TV, meanwhile, slipped to the eighth spot, garnering gross viewership of 109,531 in Week 21, a fall from 127,052 recorded last week.

Star Utsav also climbed up a notch to the ninth spot in Week 21, reporting gross viewership of 108,359, an increase from 94,964 reported in Week 20.

Zee Anmol slipped to No. 10 this week, witnessing a decline in its gross viewership from 98,875 (Week 20) to 91,176 (Week 21).
