BARC Wk 10 ratings: Star Bharat reclaims top spot in battle of FTA channels

BARC ratings for Week 10 of 2018 (March 3-9) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Star Bharat back in its numero uno position after slipping a couple of notches last week. The top 3 places were claimed by FTA channels, while Zee TV was placed in the fourth spot. Most channels saw growth in their gross viewership numbers this week. 

After slipping a notch to the second spot last week, Star Bharat regained its numero uno position in Week 10. The channel saw an increase in its gross viewership – from 750,429 recorded in Week 9 to 777,256 this week. Its show, ‘Nimki Mukhiya’, made a re-entry in the list of most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban at No. 4 with 9,531 (000) Impressions. 

Zee Anmol, too, climbed up a notch to No. 2 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 709,090, an increase from 682,244 recorded in Week 9. Re-run of the hit show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, was back at the No. 1 spot with 10,876 (000) Impressions. 

On the other hand, Sony Pal, which had climbed up a couple of notches to the numero uno position in Week 9, was back in the third spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 699,325 in Week 10, a decline from 753,407 recorded last week. Long-running crime fiction show, ‘CID’, slid to the fifth spot with 9,450 (000) Impressions. 

Zee TV, meanwhile, climbed up a notch to No. 4 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 640,620, an increase from 522,300 recorded in Week 9. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ slipped to the second spot among most watched shows with 10,409 (000) Impressions. Meanwhile, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ climbed up to the third spot with 9,877 (000) Impressions. 

Star Utsav, which had climbed up a couple of notches to the fourth spot last week, slipped a notch to the fifth spot in Week 10. However, the channel witnessed an increase in its gross viewership – from 530,012 recorded in Week 9 to 561,584 this week. 

Colors remained unchanged at No. 6 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 526,717, an increase from 488,058 recorded in Week 9. 

Sony Entertainment Television climbed up a couple of notches to the seventh spot in Week 10, garnering a gross viewership of 469,141, an increase from 431,930 recorded last week. 

Rishtey continued to be placed in the eighth spot this week as well, recording a gross viewership of 459,038, an increase from 436,296 recorded in Week 9. 

Star Plus, on the other hand, slipped two notches to No. 9 this week. The channel witnessed a further decline in its gross viewership – from 455,366 recorded in Week 9 to 431,711 this week. 

Sony SAB continued to be placed in the tenth spot in Week 10 as well, reporting a gross viewership of 404,584, a marginal decline from 404,767 recorded last week.
