BARC Wk 13 ratings: Sony Pal beats Star Plus, Colors to the top in R+U

BARC ratings for Week 13 (March 25-31 ) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Sony Pal surge ahead of Star Plus and Colors to take the numero uno spot amongst the top 10 Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. The channel has been on an upswing in the last few weeks. 

Sony Pal was the surprise numero uno Hindi GEC in Week 13 in Rural+Urban. The channel, which has been steadily seeing gains is the last few weeks, reached the No. 1 spot for the first time since the BARC ratings came into being. Sony Pal recorded a gross viewership of 702,603, a jump from 603,135 recorded last week. The channel was parked in the third spot in Week 12. 

After remaining in the No. 1 spot for several weeks, Star Plus slid a notch to be placed at the second spot in Week 13. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 681,474, a fall from 728,340 recorded last week. Its show, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, continued in the third spot with 9,580 Impressions (000s). 

Colors, too, slid a notch from No. 2 to No. 3 this week, but witnessed an increase in its gross viewership to 638,786, from 630,806 recorded in Week 12. ‘Naagin Season 2’ continued to be the most watched show on Hindi GEC in Rural+Urban, garnering 12,999 Impressions (000s). Meanwhile, another show from Colors, mythological show ‘Shani’, made an entry in this list for the first time in the fifth spot, garnering 8,725 Impressions (000s). 

Zee TV continued to be placed at the fourth spot, witnessing a gross viewership of 550,619 in Week 13, a marginal increase from 550,272 recorded last week. Two of its shows find a place in the most watched shows’ list – ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’. ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ remained at No. 2, witnessing 12,118 Impressions (000s), while ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ recorded 9,080 Impressions (000s) and was placed in the fourth spot. 

Rishtey held on to its fifth spot in Week 13, witnessing gross viewership 498,807, a decline from 508,839 recorded last week. 

Zee Anmol, which had slipped a notch to No. 6 in Week 11, continued in this spot in Week 13, garnering a gross viewership of 483,395, a decline from 492,092 recorded last week. 

Sony SAB continued in the seventh spot in Week 13, garnering a gross viewership of 430,939, compared to 439,697 recorded last week. 

Sony Entertainment Television, which had slipped a notch to No. 9 in Week 12, climbed up a notch to the eighth spot this week. The channel witnessed a gross viewership 425,621, a decline from 429,864 recorded last week. 

On the other hand, Star Utsav, which had climbed up a notch to the eighth spot last week, slid to No. 9 in Week 13, witnessing a decline in its gross viewership – from 433,212 recorded last week to 422,858 recorded this week. 

Life OK continued in the tenth spot in Week 13 as well, registering a gross viewership of 390,161, a decline from 417,957 recorded in last week.
