BARC Wk 15: DD National continues to lead Hindi GECs, widens gap with others

DD National continues to lead the Hindi GEC space in Week 15 (Saturday, 11th April 2020 to Friday, 17th April 2020) as well. As per BARC data [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals], DD National garnered a gross viewership of 2,680,221(000) in All Platform. 

Dangal followed in the second spot with a gross viewership of 980,000(000). Sony SAB was at No. 3 with a gross viewership of 880,719(000), while Big Magic was placed at No. 4 with a gross viewership of 655,457(000). 

DD Bharati [554,246(000)], Sony Entertainment Television [470,410(000)], and Star Plus [352,281(000)] were placed at the 5th, 6th and 7th positions, respectively in Week 15. 

Placed in the 8th spot was Colors, which garnered a gross viewership of 305,988(000), followed by Star Utsav with 293,748(000) in the 9th position, with Zee TV placed in the 10th position, garnering a gross viewership of 251,272(000). 

Shows of DD National, DD Bharati and Dangal were among the top 5 most watched shows of the week. Mythological show ‘Ramayan’ remained the most watched show with 67,473(000) impressions, followed by ‘Mahabharat’ on DD Bharati, which garnered 18,290(000) impressions in Week 15. 

Pay Platforms 

In Pay platforms, too, DD National held on to its numero uno position, recording gross viewership of 1,970,450(000) in Week 15. Sony SAB followed at No. 2, garnering a gross viewership of 87,6291(000), which is less than half of DD’s numbers. Sony Entertainment Television was placed third with a gross viewership of 467,149(000), while DD Bharati followed closed behind at No. 4, garnering a gross viewership of 425,118(000).
