BARC Wk 19 ratings: Star Plus continues lead; Colors slides to No. 5

BARC ratings for Week 19 (May 6-12) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Zee TV back at No. 3, even as Colors slid to the fifth spot. Meanwhile, Star Plus continued its reign among the Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. 

Star Plus’ position in Week 19 remained unchanged at No. 1, with the channel recording a gross viewership of 624,187, a further decline from 632,254 recorded last week. Its show, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, continued in the third spot, garnering 9,196 Impressions (000s). 

Sony Pal, which surprised all by claiming the No. 1 spot in Week 13, continued to be placed in the second spot in Week 19 as well. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 577,776, a decline from 591,324 recorded last week. 

Zee TV, which had climbed up a notch to No. 4 in Week 17, further climbed up a notch to the third spot in Week 19. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 491,514, an increase from 488,762 recorded last week. Two of its shows were among the most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban this week. ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ topped the charts with 11,219 Impressions (000s). Talent hunt show ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ slipped a notch to the fourth spot with 8,303 Impressions (000s). 

Zee Anmol saw a jump in its rankings – from No. 6 in Week 18 to No. 4 this week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 483157, an increase from 440,610 recorded last week. Its show, ‘Jamai Raja’, made an entry in the list of most watched shows on Hindi GECs, garnering 8,117 Impressions (000s). 

Colors slid to No. 5 in Week 19 after spending weeks in the third spot. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 482,364, a further decline from 529,712 recorded last week. ‘Naagin Season 2’ remained in the second spot in the list of most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban, garnering 10,814 Impressions (000s). 

Rishtey, which had slid a notch to No. 5 in Week 17, continued in this position this week as well, garnering a gross viewership of 465,658, a further decline from 486,269 recorded in Week 18. 

Sony SAB continued in the seventh spot in Week 19, garnering a gross viewership of 425,575, a marginal increase from 424,986 recorded last week. 

Star Utsav, which slipped a notch to No. 8 in Week 18, continued in this position this week as well, recording a gross viewership of 404,401, an increase from 378,777 recorded last week. 

Life OK continued to be placed in the ninth spot in Week 19, registering an increase in its gross viewership – from 348,821 in Week 18 to 366,100 this week. 

Sony Entertainment Television’s position, too, remained unchanged. The channel was placed in the tenth spot in Week 19 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 342,288, a slight decline from 344,598 recorded last week.
