BARC Wk 20 ratings: Star Plus continues lead; Colors gains ground

BARC ratings for Week 20 (May 13-19) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Colors gain some ground after sliding to the fifth spot last week. Meanwhile, Star Plus continued its reign among the Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. 

Star Plus continued to lead the Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban in Week 20, garnering a gross viewership of 637,109, an increase from 624,187 recorded last week. Its show, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, continued in the third spot, garnering 9,389 Impressions (000s). 

Sony Pal, which surprised all by claiming the No. 1 spot in Week 13, continued to be placed in the second spot in Week 20 as well. The channel registered a gross viewership of 588,225, an increase from 577,776 recorded last week. 

Zee TV, which had climbed up a notch to the third spot in Week 19, held on to this position this week. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 503,242, a further increase from 491,514 recorded in Week 19. Two of its shows were among the most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban this week. ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ continued to top the charts with 11,285 Impressions (000s), while talent hunt show ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ remained in the fourth spot with 8,495 Impressions (000s). 

Colors, which had slid to No. 5 in Week 19, regained some ground, climbing up a notch to the fourth spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 487,807, a slight increase from 482,364 recorded last week. ‘Naagin Season 2’ remained in the second spot in the list of most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban, garnering 9,881 Impressions (000s). 

Zee Anmol, which had climbed up a couple of notches to the fourth position last week, slid a notch in Week 20 to No. 5. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 475,426, a decline from 483,157 recorded in Week 19. Its show, ‘Jamai Raja’, was placed fifth in the list of most watched shows on Hindi GECs, garnering 7,788 Impressions (000s). 

Rishtey continued in the sixth position in Week 20 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 468,234, compared to 465,658 recorded last week. 

Sony SAB continued in the seventh spot in Week 20, garnering a gross viewership of 432,421, an increase from 425,575 recorded last week. 

Star Utsav, which slipped a notch to No. 8 in Week 18, continued in this position in Week 20 as well, recording a gross viewership of 376,294, a decline from 404,401 recorded last week. 

Sony Entertainment Television climbed up a notch to No. 9 in Week 20, garnering a gross viewership of 350,216, an increase from 342,288 recorded last week. 

Life OK, meanwhile, slipped a notch to the tenth spot this week, registering a decline in its gross viewership – from 366,100 in Week 19 to 342,264 this week.
