BARC Wk 22: Zee Anmol leads; Zee TV claws its way back to Top 3

BARC ratings for Week 22 of 2018 (May 26-June 1) [HSM (U+R): NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Zee Anmol remain ahead of the rest of the top 10 channels and maintaining a wide gap with the No. 2 channel (Rishtey). Zee TV has been seeing gains in the last few weeks and reached the No. 3 spot this week. 

Zee Anmol remained steadfast at No. 1 this week as well, garnering a gross viewership of 821,672, a decline from 890,491 recorded in Week 21. Re-run of the hit show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, slipped to the second spot among most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 11,718 (000) Impressions. Daily soap ‘Mahek’ remained in the fifth position with 7,219 (000) Impressions. 

Rishtey, too, remained unchanged at No. 2 this week. However, the channel saw a decline in its gross viewership to 665,332 from 686,253 recorded in Week 21. 

Zee TV, on the other hand, climbed up a notch to the third spot in Week 22 with a gross viewership of 592,858, a further increase from 581,815 recorded last week. Its marquee show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, climbed up a notch to be the most watched show with 12,129 (000) Impressions. Spin-off show, ‘Kundali Bhagya’, slipped a notch to the third spot with 10,985 (000) Impressions. 

Sony Pal slipped a notch to the fourth spot in Week 22, garnering a gross viewership of 577,214, a decline from 600,487 recorded last week. 

Star Bharat remained unchanged at No. 5 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 536,573, a decline from 563,733 recorded in Week 21. 

Star Utsav, which had climbed up a notch to No. 6 last week, continued in this position in Week 22 as well. The channel saw an increase in its gross viewership – from 479,587 in Week 21 to 490,206 this week. 

There was no change in Star Plus’ position as well, as the channel remained in the seventh spot in Week 22, garnering a gross viewership of 447,354, an increase from 439,453 recorded last week. Its show, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, made a re-entry to the list of most watched shows at No. 4 with 7,646 (000) Impressions. 

Colors remained unchanged at No. 8 this week as well. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 391,757, a further decline from 394,807 recorded in Week 21. 

Sony SAB and Sony Entertainment Television continued at No. 9 and No. 10 spots, respectively, in Week 22 as well. 

Sony SAB saw an increase in its gross viewership to 387,189 from 360,612 recorded last week. Meanwhile, Sony Entertainment Television, saw a marginal increase in its gross viewership to 340,834 from 340,661 recorded in Week 21.
