BARC Wk 26: Zee TV reaches No. 2; Colors, Star Bharat gain grounds

BARC ratings for Week 26 (June 23-29) [HSM (U+R): NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw quite a few movement amongst the top 10 Hindi GECs. Zee TV and Colors have been gradually gaining ground in the last few weeks. Zee TV reached the second spot this week, while Colors was placed in the fourth spot. Despite registering a dip in its gross viewership, Star Bharat saw gains and climbed up to No. 3 this week. 

Zee Anmol continued to be placed in the numero uno spot in Week 26 as well, however the channel saw a decline in it gross viewership from 745,706 recorded last week to 719,829 this week. Re-run of the hit show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, saw some gains this week, climbing up a notch to No. 3 among most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban last week with 11,405 (000) Impressions.  

Zee TV climbed up a notch to the second spot this week with a gross viewership of 582,960, an increase from 572,708 recorded in Week 25. Spin-off show, ‘Kundali Bhagya’, continued at No. 2 this week with 11,873 (000) impressions, while marquee show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, slipped a notch to the fourth spot with 11,106 (000) Impressions.  

Star Bharat, too, climbed up a notch to No. 3 in Week 26, but saw a slight dip in its gross viewership to 565,587 from 568,791 recorded last week.  

Colors was up a notch in the fourth spot this week, recording a gross viewership of 564,746, a further increase from 556,889 recorded in Week 25. Colors’ prime property, ‘Naagin 3’, continued as the most watched show in Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 14,579 (000) Impressions. Also contributing to Colors’ overall performance is talent hunt show, ‘Dance Deewane’, which is placed at No. 5 with 9,784 (000) Impressions.  

Sony Pal, on the other hand, lost some ground in Week 26, slipping from the second spot last week to No. 5 this week. The channel saw a drop in its gross viewership – from 599,068 recorded in Week 25 to 540,331 this week. 

After slipping a couple of notches to No. 8 last week, Star Plus gained some ground in Week 26, climbing back to the sixth spot. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 502,843, an increase from 462,775 recorded last week. 

Meanwhile, Star Utsav slipped a notch to the seventh spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 479,691, a decline from 491,102 recorded in Week 25. 

Rishtey, too, slipped a notch to No. 8 in Week 26. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 456,356, a decline from 487,121 recorded last week.  

Once again, there was no change in the positions of Sony SAB and Sony Entertainment Television in Week 26 as well.  

Continuing at No. 9, Sony SAB saw an increase in its gross viewership at 367,955, compared to 355,389 recorded last week. Sony Entertainment Television remained unchanged at No. 10 in Week 26, garnering a gross viewership of 344,737, an increase from 312,771 recorded last week.
