BARC Wk 27: Zee TV gains in viewership; Sony Pal, Colors neck and neck

BARC ratings for Week 27 (June 30-July 6) [HSM (U+R): NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Zee TV gaining in terms of gross viewership. Meanwhile, Sony Pal gained grounds and was back at No. 3, however, a mere 320 points separate Sony Pal from the channel at No. 4 – Colors. 

While Zee Anmol held on to its numero uno spot in Week 27 as well, it continued to witness decline in its gross viewership – from 719,829 recorded last week to 698,822 this week. Re-run of the hit show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, saw some gains this week, climbing up a notch to No. 2 among most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban last week with 11,488 (000) Impressions.  

On the other hand, Zee TV further consolidated its position at No. 2 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 614,367, a further increase from 582,960 recorded in Week 26. Spin-off show, ‘Kundali Bhagya’, slipped a notch to No. 3 this week with 11,066 (000) impressions, while marquee show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, remained in the fourth spot with 9,903 (000) Impressions.  

After slipping to the fifth spot last week, Sony Pal, gained grounds in Week 27, climbing up a couple of notches to No. 3. The channel saw a slight increase in its gross viewership to 552,330 from 540,331 recorded last week. 

Colors remained unchanged in the fourth spot this week, recording a gross viewership of 552,010, a decline from 564,746 recorded in Week 26. Colors’ prime property, ‘Naagin 3’, continued as the most watched show in Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 14,374 (000) Impressions. Also contributing to Colors’ overall performance is talent hunt show, ‘Dance Deewane’, which is placed at No. 5 with 9,505 (000) Impressions.  

After climbing up to the third spot in Week 26, Star Bharat fell a couple of notches to No. 5 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 545,871, a decline from 565,587 recorded in Week 26. 

Meanwhile, Star Utsav climbed up a notch to the sixth spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 508,738, an increase from 479,691 recorded in Week 26. 

Star Plus slipped a notch to No. 7 in Week 27, recording a gross viewership of 487,574, a decline from 502,843 recorded last week. 

There was no change in the positions of Rishtey, Sony SAB and Sony Entertainment Television in Week 27. Rishtey remained at No. 8 with a gross viewership of 445400, a further decline from 456,356 recorded last week.  

Continuing at No. 9, Sony SAB saw further increase in its gross viewership at 401,353, compared to 367,955 recorded last week. Sony Entertainment Television was placed at No. 10 with a gross viewership of 362,280, a further increase from 344,737 recorded last week.
