BARC Wk 28: India TV is No.1 Hindi News Channel on 15+ HSM 6 weeks in a row

As per BARC India data for Week 28 (Saturday, 9th July 2022 To Friday, 15th July 2022), the overall Hindi News Genre increased by 1%, garnering 2,319(000) AMAs [Source : BARC | 0600Hrs to 2400Hrs |15+ | HSM | Wk 27'22 & Wk 28'22 |Hindi News Genre (12 Hindi News Channel) | Basis AMA 000s].

Meanwhile, in HSM 15+, India TV continues to lead the Hindi News genre six weeks in a row. The channel garnered a relative share of 13% in Week 28 [Source : BARC | 0600Hrs to 2400Hrs |15+ | HSM | Wk 23'22 Wk 28'22 | Relative Share among 12 Hindi News Channels | Basis AMA 000s], which was a tad lower than 13.1% in Week 27.

Placed in the second spot, Aaj Tak reported a relative share of 12.8%, followed by News18 India with a relative share of 12.6%, Republic Bharat with a relative share of 12.0%, and TV9 Bharatvarsh with a relative share of 9.5%.

India TV is also a consistent No. 1 in HSM Urban Market for the last 11 weeks. The channel garnered a relative share of 14.1% in Week 28 [Source : BARC | 0600Hrs to 2400Hrs |15+ | HSM Urban | Wk 18'22 Wk 28'22 |Relative Share among 12 Hindi News Channels | Basis AMA 000s]. Aaj Tak followed in the second place with a relative share of 13.0%. News18 India was placed third with a relative share of 12.7%, followed by Republic Bharat, which had a relative share of 11.4% and Zee News with a relative share of 9.2%.
