BARC Wk 28 ratings: Star Plus reclaims its top spot

Compared to the previous week, BARC ratings for Week 28 (July 8-14) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw very few changes in the rankings of the top 10 Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. Star Plus returned to the numero uno spot, while Zee TV slid a notch to No. 2. Meanwhile, ‘Kundali Bhagya’, the recently launched spin-off show of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, made an entry to the list of most watched shows on Hindi GECs at No. 4. 

After sliding two notches to No. 3 last week, Star Plus made a comeback in Week 28, reclaiming the numero uno spot. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 629,101, an increase from 605,936 recorded in Week 27. However, its dance reality show, ‘Dance Plus 3’, which was placed at No. 4 last week, moved out of the list of top 5 most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban this week. 

Zee TV, the highest gainer in Week 27 when it reached the No. 1 spot, slid a notch to be placed second this week, garnering a gross viewership of 623,641, a decline from 634,718 recorded last week. Talent hunt show ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ continued as the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban in Week 28 as well with 12,091 Impressions (000s). ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ remained at No. 2 with 12,057 Impressions (000s). ‘Kundali Bhagya’, the recently launched spin-off show of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, made an entry to the list at No. 4 with 9,860 Impressions (000s). 

Rishtey slid a notch to the third spot in Week 28, garnering a gross viewership of 545,792, a decline from 608,033 recorded last week. Re-run of ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on the channel was placed at No. 5 with 9,585 Impressions (000s). 

Zee Anmol remained unchanged at No. 4 in Week 28 as well, but witnesses a further decline in its gross viewership – from 562,823 in Week 27 to 544,669 this week. 

Sony Pal, which had climbed up a notch to the fifth spot in Week 27, remained in this spot this week. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 528,789 in Week 28, compared to 546,447 recorded last week. 

Meanwhile, Colors, which had slid a couple of notches to the sixth spot last week, remained in this position in Week 28 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 513,075, a further decline from 529,163 recorded in Week 27. 

Sony SAB continued in the seventh spot in Week 28 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 388,075, a decline from 401,749 recorded last week. 

Sony Entertainment Television, Life OK and Star Utsav continued at No. 8, No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. 

Sony Entertainment Television reported a gross viewership of 380,096, compared to 384,075 recorded last week; while Life OK garnered a gross viewership of 363428, an increase from 335,229 recorded in Week 27. 

Star Utsav, too, saw an increase in its gross viewership in Week 28 – from 278,670 in Week 27 to 290,576 this week.
