BARC data for Week 28 (Saturday, 11th July 2020 to Friday, 17th July 2020) saw Star Utsav lead in All Platforms, while Star Plus was the numero uno channel on Pay Platforms. Dangal remained steadfast at No. 1 on Free Platforms. With shootings resuming, two long-time favourites ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and Kundali Bhagya’ on Zee TV found an instant connect with the audiences. Colors daily soap, ‘Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’, is also back on air and is seen to regain its audience base. With this, the hold of mythological serials seem to be weakening.

All Platform

Star Utsav continues to lead in All Platforms, recording a gross viewership of 1,036,085 in Week 28. Star Plus (889,801), Dangal (878,787), Zee Anmol (750,961) and Sony Pal (679,457) make up the Top 5 Hindi GECs in Week 28.

Among the most watched shows on All Platform, the top three slots continued to be dominated by mythological shows on Dangal and DD National. Meanwhile, Zee TV’s flagship daily soaps, ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, made a strong return, placed at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

Pay Platform

Star Plus, Sony SAB, Zee TV, Star Utsav and Colors make up the Top 5 Hindi GECs on Pay Platforms.

‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, the two most watched shows on Hindi GECs on Pay Platforms in Week 28, helped propel Zee TV to the No. 3 slot, garnering a gross viewership of 467,750 this week. The other top 5 shows included ‘Mahabharat’ on Star Plus (No. 3), ‘Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ on Colors (No. 4) and ‘Shri Krishna’ on DD National (No. 5).
