BARC Wk 29 ratings: Star Plus maintains lead; 3 Zee TV shows rule

BARC ratings for Week 29 (July15-21) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Star Plus hold on to its numero uno position. Meanwhile, Zee TV also continued strong with three of its shows – ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ – featuring among the most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban this week. 

Star Plus, which had reclaimed its numero uno position last week, further consolidated its position in Week 29, witnessing gains in its gross viewership to 632,153 from 629,101 recorded in Week 28. Its show, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, made a re-entry to the list of most watched shows on Hindi GECs at No. 5, garnering 8,460 Impressions (000s). 

Zee TV remained at No. 2 in Week 29, garnering a gross viewership of 632,048, an increase from 623,641 recorded last week. Talent hunt show ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ continued as the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban in Week 29 as well with 11,462 Impressions (000s). ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ slid a notch to No. 3 with 9,986 Impressions (000s), while ‘Kundali Bhagya’, the recently launched spin-off show of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, remained at No. 4 with 9,854 Impressions (000s). 

Zee Anmol and Rishtey switched places this week, with the former climbing up a notch to No. 3, recording a gross viewership of 612,945, an increase from 544,669 recorded in Week 28. 

Meanwhile, Rishtey further slid a notch to the fourth spot in Week 29, garnering a gross viewership of 589,493, an increase from 545,792 recorded last week. Re-run of ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on the channel was placed at No. 2 with 10,508 Impressions (000s). 

Sony Pal continued in the fifth spot in Week 29, witnessing a gross viewership of 573,002, compared to 528,789 recorded last week. 

Colors, too, held on to its sixth spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 504,216, a further decline from 513,075 recorded in Week 28. 

With a gross viewership of 399,377, Sony Entertainment Television climbed up a notch to No. 7 in Week 29. The channel had recorded a gross viewership of 380,096 last week. 

Sony SAB, on the other hand, slid a notch to the eighth spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 389,089, an increase from 388,075 recorded in Week 28. 

Life OK and Star Utsav continued in their last week’s positions of No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. Life OK garnered a gross viewership of 366,170 in Week 29, an increase from 363,428 recorded last week. Star Utsav, however, witnessed a decline in its gross viewership in Week 29 – from 290,576 in Week 28 to 281,863 this week.
