BARC Wk 31 ratings: Zee Anmol at No. 1; Colors gains grounds

BARC ratings for Week 31 (July 29-August 4) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Zee Anmol further consolidating its lead. The channel had reached the No. 1 spot last week. Colors put up a strong show, reaching No. 3, on the back of its recently launched reality show, ‘Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi – Pain in Spain’. 

Zee Anmol, which had climbed up to the numero uno spot in Week 30, held on to this position this week as well. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 711,757, an increase from 691,174 in Week 31. 

Zee TV continued in the second spot in Week 31 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 644,660, a decline from 657,927 recorded last week. Three of its shows continue to be amongst the most watched shows on Hindi GECs. Talent hunt show ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ slipped a notch to No. 2 with 11,656 Impressions (000s). ‘Kundali Bhagya’, the spin-off show of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, slipped a notch to the fourth spot with 9,919 Impressions (000s), while ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ remained in the fifth spot with 9,549 Impressions (000s). 

After remaining in the middle of the ratings charts for weeks, Colors climbed up a couple of notches to the third spot in Week 31 from No. 5 last week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 633,197, an increase from 584,758 recorded in Week 30. Reality show, ‘Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi – Pain in Spain’, which had made an entry to the list of most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban at No. 4 last week, climbed up a notch to the third spot with 10,415 Impressions (000s). 

On the other hand, Star Plus, which had slid two notches to the third spot last week, lost further ground in Week 31 to be placed in the fourth spot, garnering a gross viewership of 602,544, an increase from 599,698 recorded last week. 

Rishtey, too, slid a notch this week to No. 5, recording a gross viewership of 569,263, a decline from 591,124 recorded in Week 30. Re-run of ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on the channel climbed up a notch to No. 1 this week with 11,750 Impressions (000s). 

Sony Pal remained at the sixth spot in Week 31, witnessing a further decline in its gross viewership – from 535,351 in Week 30 to 549,648 this week. 

Sony Entertainment Television continued at No. 7 in Week 31 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 413,025, compared to 393,811 recorded last week. 

Sony SAB, too, remained unchanged at No. 8, recording gross viewership of 393,145 this week, an increase from 382,623 recorded in Week 30. 

Life OK, which was placed in the ninth spot in Week 31, reported a gross viewership of 370,440, compared to 351,570 recorded this week. 

Meanwhile, placed in the tenth spot, Star Utsav saw a further increase in its gross viewership – from 291,429 in Week 30 to 302,552 this week.
