BARC Wk 32 ratings: FTA channels continue to put up a strong show

BARC ratings for Week 32 (August 5-11) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Zee Anmol continue to lead the Hindi GEC space. ZEE channels continued to capture the top 5 most watched shows with shows like ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’, ‘Kundali Bhagya’, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Jamai Raja’

Zee Anmol remained in the numero uno spot for third week in a row in Week 32. However, the channel witnessed a decline in its gross viewership – from 711,757 in Week 31 to 665,948 this week. Rerun of the daily soap, ‘Jamai Raja’ was the fifth most watch show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 9,141 Impressions (000s). 

Zee TV, too, continued in the second spot in Week 32, garnering a gross viewership of 608,343, a further decline from 644,660 recorded last week. Three of its shows continue to be amongst the most watched shows on Hindi GECs. Talent hunt show ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ was back at No. 1 this week with 10,660 Impressions (000s). ‘Kundali Bhagya’, the spin-off show of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, climbed up to the second spot with 10,498 Impressions (000s), while ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ climbed up a notch to the fourth spot with 9,383 Impressions (000s). 

Star Plus recovered some grounds this week, climbing up a notch to the third spot in Week 31, garnering a gross viewership of 586,614, a decline from 602,544 recorded last week. 

On the other hand, Colors slid a notch to No. 4 this week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 568,765, a decline from 633,197 recorded in Week 31. Reality show, ‘Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi – Pain in Spain’, continued in the third spot with 9,939 Impressions (000s). 

Sony Pal and Rishtey switched places this week, with the former climbing up a notch to No. 5. Sony Pal recorded a gross viewership of 556,217 in Week 32, compared to 549,648 recorded last week. 

Rishtey further slid a notch to No. 6 in Week 32, recording a gross viewership of 492,683, a decline from 569,263 recorded last week. 

Sony SAB, climbed up a notch to the seventh spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 409,668, a further increase from 393,145 recorded in Week 31. 

Sony Entertainment Television, meanwhile, slipped a notch to No. 8 in Week 32, garnering a gross viewership of 400,952, a decline from 413,025 recorded last week. 

There was no change in the rankings of Life OK and Star Utsav. Life OK continued in the ninth spot in Week 32, reporting a gross viewership of 346,705, compared to 370,440 recorded last week. 

Placed in the tenth spot, Star Utsav saw a further increase in its gross viewership – from 302,552 in Week 31 to 304,324 this week.
