BARC Wk 38: Dance Deewane finale, Naagin 3 propel Colors to No. 3

BARC ratings for Week 38 (September 15 - 21) [HSM (U+R): NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Zee Anmol further consolidating its numero uno position with a new high in its gross viewership. Colors saw a steep climb this week, placing it back among the top 5 Hindi GECs. This growth was propelled by the grand finale of its dance reality show ‘Dance Deewane’ as well as the consistently strong show put up by ‘Naagin 3’. 

Continuing at the numero uno spot, Zee Anmol has been witnessing new highs in its gross viewership in the last few weeks. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 861,115 in Week 38, compared to 814,441 recorded last week. ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ moved up a notch to No. 2 this week with 13,387 (000) Impressions. 

Star Utsav climbed up a notch to No. 2 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 702,196, a further increase from 684,456 recorded in Week 37. 

Colors made a huge leap from No. 8 last week to No. 3 in Week 38 on the back of two of its shows. The channel recorded a further increase in its gross viewership to 695,563, from 627,968 recorded last week. Colors’ prime property, ‘Naagin 3’, continued as the most watched show in Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 15,402 (000) Impressions. The grand finale of ‘Dance Deewane’ was the third most watched show with 10861 (000) Impressions. 

Zee TV, meanwhile, slipped a couple of notches to No. 4 in Week 38, garnering a gross viewership of 622,323, a decline from 689,824 recorded last week. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ slipped to the fourth spot this week with 10,194 (000) Impressions. Marquee show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, slipped to No. 5 with 9,598 (000) Impressions.  

Star Plus climbed up a notch in Week 38 to No. 5, garnering a gross viewership of 620,337, a decline from 645,590 recorded last week. 

On the other hand, Sony Entertainment Television moved up a couple of notches to No. 6 this week, registering a gross viewership of 571,360, a decline from 602,756 recorded in Week 37. 

Star Bharat, too, saw loss in Week 38, slipping from the fifth spot to the seventh spot. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 567,817, a decline from 645,481 recorded last week. 

Sony Pal slipped a notch to No. 8 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 536,054, a decline from 612,125 recorded in Week 37. 

Rishtey and Sony SAB remained unchanged at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively in Week 38. Rishtey garnered a gross viewership of 454,365, compared to 488,785 recorded last week; while Sony SAB also saw a decline in its gross viewership from 425,972 in Week 37 to 436,191 recorded this week.
