BARC Wk 39: Star Plus, Star Bharat, Sony Pal see gains in R+U

BARC ratings for Week 39 (September 22 - 28) [HSM (U+R): NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Zee Anmol continue to lead the Hindi GECs space in Rural+Urban. This week saw some sharp gains and declines. Among the gainers were Star Plus, Star Bharat and Sony Pal

Zee Anmol registered a drop in its gross viewership in Week 39 even as the channel continued to be place at the No. 1 spot. Zee Anmol garnered a gross viewership of 775,521, compared to the high of 861,115 recorded last week. ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ remained at No. 2 this week with 12,700 (000) Impressions. 

Star Utsav, which had climbed up a notch to No. 2 last week, continued in this position in Week 39 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 730,938, a further increase from 702,196 recorded last week. 

Star Plus saw further gains this week as the channel climbed up a couple of notches to No. 3, garnering a gross viewership of 674,836, an increase from 620,337 recorded in Week 38. Primetime show, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, made a re-entry in the list of top 5 most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban at No. 4 with 11,342 (000) Impressions. 

Star Bharat, which had seen loss in Week 38, slipping to the seventh spot, climbed up to No. 4 this week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 652,806, an increase from 567,817 recorded last week. 

Sony Pal, too, made a huge leap to the fifth spot, up from No. 8 in Week 38. The channel saw an increase in its gross viewership to 645,457 in Week 39 from 536,054 recorded last week. 

Colors, which had made a huge leap from No. 8 to No. 3 in Week 38, slipped to the sixth spot this week. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 634,604, a decline from 695,563 recorded last week. Colors’ prime property, ‘Naagin 3’, continued as the most watched show in Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban, but saw a dip in its ratings at 14,487 (000) Impressions. 

Zee TV’s slide continued in Week 39 as well, as the channel moved from No. 4 to No. 7 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 613,238, a further decline from 622,323 recorded last week. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ was up a notch to the third spot this week with 12,092 (000) Impressions. Marquee show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, continued at No. 5 with 10,714 (000) Impressions.  

Sony Entertainment Television slipped a couple of notches to No. 8 this week, registering a gross viewership of 594,293, a decline from 571,360 recorded in Week 38. 

Sony SAB moved up a notch to No. 9 in Week 39, garnering a gross viewership of 456,625, an increase from 436,191 recorded last week. 

Meanwhile, Rishtey slipped a notch to the tenth spot in Week 39, garnering a gross viewership of 449,926, a slight decline from 454,365 recorded last week.
