BARC Wk 42: Zee Anmol reclaims top spot

BARC ratings for Week 42 (October 13 - October 19) [HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals] saw Zee Anmol back at the numero uno position, with two of its shows – ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Mehek’ – among the top five shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. Most of the channels continued in the same positions as last week. 

Zee Anmol reclaimed its No. 1 position in Week 42, after slipping to the second spot last week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 847,399, a sharp increase from 804,142 recorded last week. ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ was the second most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban this week with 12,914 (000) Impressions, while ‘Mahek’ was placed at No, 3 with 11,452 (000) Impressions. 

After climbing up to the numero uno spot in Week 41, Star Utsav slipped a notch to be placed in the No. 2 position this week, garnering a gross viewership of 800,897, a steep decline from 868,404 recorded last week. 

Star Plus moved up a notch to No. 3 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 702,026, a marginal decline from 705,121 recorded in Week 41. 

Star Bharat slipped to No. 4 this week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 692,457, a drastic decline from 748,473 recorded last week. 

Meanwhile, Zee TV retained its fifth position this week. However, the channel saw a decline in its gross viewership – from 681,698 recorded in the Week 41 to 653,759 this week. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ slipped to No. 4 among most watched shows with 11,195 (000) Impressions, while marquee show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ was at No. 5 with 9,158 (000) impressions. 

Sony Pal, too, remained unchanged at No. 6 in Week 42. The channel also saw a decline in its gross viewership from 600,804 recorded last week to 579,069 recorded in Week 42. 

Sony Entertainment Television continued in the seventh spot this week, registering a gross viewership of 573,252, a decline from 595,453 recorded in Week 41. 

Placed at No.8 in Week 42, Colors recorded a gross viewership of 545,284, a decline from 577,002 recorded last week. Colors’ prime property, ‘Naagin 3’, continued as the most watched show in Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 13,093(000) Impressions.  

Dangal TV retained its ninth spot in Week 42, garnering a gross viewership of 459,287, a marginal increase from 451,823 recorded last week. 

Rishtey was placed at No. 10 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 418,833, a marginal hike from 414,987recorded last week.
