BARC Wk 46: ‘Naagin 3’ reclaims its top spot; Sony Pal sees huge gains

BARC ratings for Week 46 (November 10 - 16) of 2018 [HSM (U+R): NCCS ll: 2+ Individuals] saw Sony Pal as the highest gainer. Colors’ ‘Naagin 3’ was back as the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban this week. Mythological show, ‘Radhakrishn’, on Star Bharat was the new entrant in the top 5 shows’ list. 

Despite witnessing a decline in its gross viewership, Zee Anmol continued in its numero uno position in Week 46. The channel recorded gross viewership of 772,355, compared to 812,653 recorded in Week 45. After being the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban for a few weeks, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ slipped to the second spot with 12,798 (000) Impressions. 

Star Bharat climbed up a notch to No. 2 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 714,851, an increase from 660,593 recorded in Week 45. Recently launched mythological show, ‘Radhakrishn’, was the new entrant in the top 5 shows’ list at No. 5 with 9,911 (000) Impressions. 

On the other hand, Star Utsav slipped a notch to the third spot in Week 46, recording a gross viewership of 663,803, a marginal decline from 666,647 recorded last week. 

With a gross viewership of 659,732, Sony Pal saw huge gains in Week 46 as the channel climbed up three notches to the fourth spot from No. 7 last week. The channel had recorded a gross viewership of 591,767 in Week 45. 

Zee TV’s yo-yo show continued in Week 46 as well. After registering a sharp decline in Week 45, when the channel slipped a couple of notches, Zee TV further slipped a notch to No. 5 this week as against its fourth spot last week. However, the channel saw a slight increase in its gross viewership to 656,010, compared to 644,737 recorded in Week 45. Long time fixtures among most watched shows – ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ – remained in the top 5 list. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ was up a notch to No. 3 with 11,986 (000) Impressions, while marquee show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ climbed up a notch to No. 4 with 10,327 (000) impressions.  

Star Plus, too, slipped a notch to No. 6 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 655,510, a slight increase from 643,485 recorded in Week 45. 

Colors also slipped a notch to the seventh spot in Week 46, garnering a gross viewership of 613,069, an increase from 593,894 recorded last week. After being briefly dislodged from its top spot, Colors’ prime property, ‘Naagin 3’, was back to being the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban this week with 13,164 (000) Impressions.  

Sony Entertainment Television, Sony SAB and Dangal TV continued in their respective positions of last week. 

Placed at No. 8, Sony Entertainment Television garnered a gross viewership of 598,255 in Week 46, an increase from 550,846 recorded last week. 

Sony SAB continued at No. 9 in Week 46, garnering a gross viewership of 469,953, a further increase from 418,069 recorded last week. 

Dangal TV remained unchanged at No. 10. The channel saw an increase in its gross viewership in Week 46 to 431,286, from 412,661 recorded last week.
