BARC Wk 47 ratings: Zee Anmol back at No. 1, but Zee TV’s shows reign

BARC ratings for Week 47 (November 18-24) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw the see-saw battle continue for the top spot. This week, Zee Anmol trumped its bigger sibling Zee TV to reach the numero uno spot. However, it were Zee TV’s shows that ruled the roost among the most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. On a whole, barring Star Utsav all channels in the top 10 list saw decline in their gross viewership this week. 

Zee Anmol returned to the top spot in Week 47 after climbing up a notch from No. 2 last week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 661,157, a slight decline from 664,328 recorded in Week 46. The channel was leading the Hindi GEC space in Rural+Urban for several weeks until Week 44. 

Zee TV slipped a notch to the second spot this week after it had reclaimed the numero uno spot in Week 46. The channel witnessed a further decline in its gross viewership at 653,961 in Week 47, from 677,155 recorded last week. Three of its shows feature among the top 5 most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ comtinued to top the list with 12,816 Impressions (000s), followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ in the second spot with 11,657 Impressions (000s). ‘Piya Albela’ was a new entrant at No. 5 with 8,762 Impressions (000s). 

Star Bharat remained unchanged in the third spot in Week 47. The channel had reached the No. 1 spot in Week 45. This week, too, the channel witnessed a decline in its gross viewership at 630,865 from 656,578 recorded in Week 46. Sitcom ‘Kya Haal Mr Panchaal’, which had made an entry to the list of most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban at No. 4 in Week 45, remained in this position in Week 47 with 8,935 Impressions (000s). 

Colors continued to be placed in the fourth spot in Week 47 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 607,248, a decline from 638,715 recorded last week. 

Sony Pal, too, remained unchanged in the fifth spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 580,171, a decline from 629,560 recorded in Week 46. Long-running sitcom, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, which made a re-entry to the list of most watched shows at No. 3 last week, remained in this position with 9,016 Impressions (000s). 

Star Utsav saw further gains in Week 47 as well, climbing up a notch to the sixth spot. The channel’s gross viewership jumped from 431,567 recorded in Week 46 to 505,333 recorded this week. 

Star Plus, meanwhile, slipped a notch to No. 7 in Week 47, garnering a gross viewership of 480,000, a further decline from 514,131 recorded last week. 

Rishtey remained unchanged at No. 8 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 408,566, a further decline from 425,518 recorded in Week 46. 

Sony Entertainment Television further slipped a notch to the ninth spot in Week 47, garnering a gross viewership of 405,956, compared to 425,518 recorded last week. 

Sony SAB, too, slipped a notch to the tenth spot in Week 47, recording a gross viewership of 379,184, a decline from 393,863 recorded last week.
