BARC Wk 48 ratings: In see-saw battle, Zee TV comes out tops in R+U

BARC ratings for Week 48 (November 25 – December 1) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw the see-saw battle continue for the top spot. This week, it was Zee TV that climbed up to the lead, whereas Zee Anmol dropped to the fourth spot. Star Bharat, Colors, and Sony SAB saw gains this week in their rankings. 

Zee TV reclaimed its top spot in Week 48 after slipping a notch to No. 2 last week. The channel witnessed an increase in its gross viewership – from 653,961 in Week 47 to 675,065 recorded this week. Two of its shows featured among the top 5 most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ continued to top the list with 12,132 Impressions (000s), followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ in the second spot with 11,383 Impressions (000s). 

Star Bharat climbed up a notch to the second spot in Week 48. The channel had reached the No. 1 spot in Week 45. This week, the channel witnessed an increase in its gross viewership at 657,889 from 630,865 recorded in Week 47. Sitcom ‘Kya Haal Mr Panchaal’ was the third most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban in Week 48 with 10,661 Impressions (000s). 

Colors, too, climbed up a notch to be placed in the third spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 649,192, an increase from 607,248 recorded in Week 47. Its show, ‘Tu Aashiqui’, was the new entrant at No. 5 with 8,693 Impressions (000s). 

On the other hand, Zee Anmol dropped to the fourth spot this week from No. 1 in Week 47. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 612,946, a decline from 661,157 recorded last week. The channel was consistently leading the Hindi GEC space in Rural+Urban for several weeks until Week 44. 

Sony Pal, meanwhile, remained unchanged in the fifth spot in Week 48, garnering a gross viewership of 595324, a slight increase from 580,171 recorded last week. Its show, ‘Baalveer’, made a re-entry to the list of most watched shows at No. 4 this week with 9,616 Impressions (000s). 

Star Utsav, which had climbed up a notch to the sixth spot last week, remained in this position in Week 48 as well. However, the channel saw a decline in its gross viewership – from 505,333 in Week 47 to 489,578 recorded this week. 

There was no change in the position of Star Plus in Week 48, which continued at No. 7, garnering a gross viewership of 464,278, a further decline from 480,000 recorded last week. 

Rishtey, too, remained unchanged at No. 8 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 421,112, an increase from 408,566 recorded in Week 47. 

Sony SAB climbed up a notch to the ninth spot in Week 48, recording a gross viewership of 420,114, an increase from 379,184 recorded last week. 

On the other hand, Sony Entertainment Television further slipped a notch to the tenth spot in Week 48, garnering a gross viewership of 383,014, a decline from 405,956 recorded last week.
