BARC Wk 49: 3 channels from Star bouquet in Top 5 Hindi GECs in R+U

BARC ratings for Week 49 (December 1 - 7) of 2018 [HSM (U+R): NCCS ll: 2+ Individuals] didn’t see too much changes. Zee Anmol continued in the top spot. Star Bharat’s ‘Radhakrishn’ saw gains this week. 

Despite seeing a dip in its gross viewership in Week 49, Zee Anmol held on to its numero uno position. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 847,007, a decline from 873,218 recorded last week. Its top show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, also continued as the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 13,938 (000) Impressions. 

Star Plus registered big gains this week, climbing up a couple of notches to No. 2, garnering a gross viewership of 745,149, a further increase from 732,873 recorded in Week 48. 

Star Bharat remained unchanged in the third spot in Week 49, garnering a gross viewership of 740,960, a further decline from 734,742 recorded last week. Recently launched mythological show, ‘Radhakrishn’, fared better this week as it climbed up a notch to the fourth spot among most watched shows with 12,499 (000) Impressions. 

Zee TV slid a couple of notches to No. 4 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 738,489, a decline from 761,001 recorded in Week 48. While ‘Kundali Bhagya’ remained at No. 2 with 13,192 (000) Impressions, marquee show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ slid to the fifth spot with 12,106 (000) Impressions. 

Star Utsav, on the other hand, climbed up a notch to No. 5 in Week 49, recording a gross viewership of 630,978, an increase from 618,101 recorded last week. 

After sliding to the eighth spot last week, Colors climbed up to the sixth spot in Week 49, but witnessed a dip in its gross viewership to 552,186 from 565,229 recorded last week. Colors’ prime property, ‘Naagin 3’, climbed up to No. 3 among most watched shows, registering 12,573 (000) Impressions.  

Sony Pal slid a couple of notches to No. 7 in Week 49. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 538,862, a decline from 621,204 recorded last week. 

Sony Entertainment Television slid a notch to No. 8 this week and saw a further decline in its gross viewership to 523,452, from 578,150 recorded in Week 48. 

There was no change in the positions of Dangal TV and Sony SAB in Week 49 as well. Dangal TV continued in the ninth spot, reporting a gross viewership of 457151, a marginal increase from 455,426 recorded last week.  

Placed at the tenth spot, Sony SAB saw a slight increase in its gross viewership this week to 399,752, from 392,154 recorded in Week 48.
