BARC Wk 51 ratings: No major shake-ups among Top 10 Hindi GECs

 

BARC ratings for the penultimate week of 2016, Week 51 (December 17-23), [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 4+ Individuals] saw no changes in the rankings of the top ten Hindi GECs consolidated their gains. 

Star Plus remained firm at No. 1 in Week 51 in Urban+Rural. However, the channel recorded a decline in its gross viewership to 647,573 from 669,638 recorded last week. The channel’s show ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ was the fifth most watched show on Hindi GECs, garnering 9,001 Impressions (000s) this week. 

Colors, too, held on to its position, placed at the second spot in Week 51 with a gross viewership of 629,203, a decline from 668,471 recorded last week. ‘Naagin 2’ on Colors continues its strong run at the top among most watched shows on Hindi GECs, garnering 13,893 Impressions (000s) in Week 51. 

Zee TV remained at No. 3 in Week 51 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 467,749, compared to 477,866 recorded last week. Its show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ remained at No. 3 spot, registering 10,928 Impressions (000s). 

Sony Entertainment Television also held on to its fourth position. The channel saw an increase in its gross viewership to 455,376 from 444,195 recorded in Week 50. Sony’s dance reality show ‘Super Dancer’ did well this week, climbing up to No. 2 spot with 13,538 Impressions (000s). 

Rishtey, too, remained at No. 5, garnering a gross viewership of 434,367, an increase from 412,427 recorded in Week 50. ‘Naagin’ on Rishtey slipped a notch to No. 4, garnering 10,928 Impressions (000s) this week. 

Sony Pal climbed up to the sixth spot, garnering a gross viewership of 414,077, compared to 397,568 recorded in Week 50. 

Placed at the seventh spot, Life OK saw a decline in its gross viewership in Week 51, from 408,864 recorded last week to 382,480 this week. 

Zee Anmol maintained its eighth spot in Week 51, witnessing a slight dip in its gross viewership to 376,086 from 384,625 recorded last week. 

Placed at the ninth spot, Sony SAB saw an increase in its gross viewership to 353,853 from 349,207 recorded in Week 50. 

Star Utsav was placed in the tenth spot in Week 51, garnering a gross viewership of 341,745, an increase from 339,302 recorded last week.
