BARC Wk 51 ratings: Zee Anmol back at No. 1 as FTA channels reign

As the year reaches its end, BARC ratings for Week 51 (December 16-22) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw FTA channels continuing strong. This week, it was Zee Anmol that climbed up to the top spot, while Star Bharat slipped to the second spot. ‘Kya Haal Mr Panchaal’ was the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. 

Zee Anmol further climbed up a notch to reclaim its numero uno spot in Week 51, garnering a gross viewership of 692,817, an increase from 644,895 recorded last week. The channel was consistently leading the Hindi GEC space in Rural+Urban for several weeks until Week 44. 

Star Bharat, meanwhile, slipped a notch to the No. 2 spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 692,427, an increase from 684,322 recorded in Week 50. Sitcom ‘Kya Haal Mr Panchaal’ was back as the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 11,804 Impressions (000s). 

Colors remained unchanged at the third spot in Week 51, garnering a gross viewership of 598,691, a further decline from 620,815 recorded last week. 

Zee TV, too, remained unchanged at No. 4 this week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 584,373 from 575,064 recorded in Week 50. Two of its shows continued to be among the top 5 most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ slipped a notch to No. 2 with 11,446 Impressions (000s), while ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ was placed in the third spot with 11,328 Impressions (000s). 

Star Utsav climbed up a notch to the fifth spot in Week 51. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 568,254, compared to 520,333 recorded last week. 

On the other hand, Sony Pal slipped a notch to the sixth spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 542,658, a further decline from 548,810 recorded in Week 51. 

There was no change in the position of Star Plus as well in Week 51, which continued at No. 7, garnering a gross viewership of 531,495, a further increase from 517,696 recorded last week. ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ made an entry to the most watched shows list with 10,334 Impressions (000s). 

Rishtey, Sony Entertainment Television, and Sony SAB continued to be placed at No. 8, No. 9 and No. 10, respectively, in Week 51. 

Rishtey garnered a gross viewership of 467,713, a further increase from 435,046 recorded in Week 50. 

Sony Entertainment Television saw a slight dip in its gross viewership – from 417,585 in Week 50 to 403,512 recorded this week. 

Sony SAB, too, saw a slight dip in its gross viewership to 371,595 in Week 51 from 377,674 recorded last week. Long-running sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ continued to be placed at the fifth spot this week with 9,148 Impressions (000s).
