bates India names Sourabh Mishra as Planning Head

bates India today announced the appointment of Sourabh Mishra as the company’s National Planning Head and Group Chief Strategy Officer. A seasoned planner with two decades of experience, Sourabh will join bates from Saatchi & Saatchi India where he is currently Chief Strategy Officer. Sourabh will commence his new role in October 2012.
 
Based out of Mumbai, Sourabh will lead strategic planning and brand management at bates across its offices in India. His mandate includes strongly integrating media and discipline neutral solutions into bates’ core planning process and practices.

In a career spanning two decades, Sourabh has experience of working with both, advertising agencies and client organisations. He has headed the strategy planning function in agencies since 2004 and started his career with Contract Advertising where he spent almost seven years. He later worked at BPL Telecom, Ogilvy & Mather, McCann Erickson, Everest Brand Solutions, Reliance Capital and TBWA India. At Everest, he played a crucial role in spearheading the planning function and subsequently rebranding the agency.
 
Sourabh has worked with a diverse category of brands that include FMCG, automobiles, healthcare, financial services, travel, telecom and technology. He has worked on the brand strategy for several multinational and Indian clients, including, General Mills, Cadbury, Coca Cola India, Skoda Auto, Mahindra Renault, TVS, ITC Foods, India First Life Insurance, Bajaj Allianz, Angel Broking, Reliance Capital, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Novartis, Dabur, Ayurvedic Concepts (Himalaya), Cox & Kings, BPL, MTS, Reliance Communications, Tata Telecom, IBM, SAP, Lenovo, Polaris and Oracle.
