BBC launches essential new Podcasts in India

BBC has launched a range of new podcasts and special digital programmes in Hindi and English with a focus on boosting essential information on Covid-19 for audiences in India.  These podcasts and special programmes are available on digital platforms across India. 

 Rupa Jha, BBC’s Head of Indian Languages said: ‘’There is a huge demand for credible and authentic news during the pandemic.  We, therefore, wanted to ensure that our output reached our audiences at their doorstep with accurate information, context and explainers.  These new podcasts and programmes on BBC and partner platforms are a perfect fit of the BBC’s commitment as a public broadcaster to serve the public interest.”

Duniya Jahan: BBC Hindi’s weekly podcast gets beyond the headlines to explore the trends and current affairs shaping the world with in-depth analysis of global issues.  It covers fact check and myth busting stories to combat misinformation.  This podcast is available to download or stream on platforms including BBC Hindi, Apple Podcasts, Gaana, Jio Saavn, Saregama Carvaan

 BBC Minute Hindi Corona Virus Special: BBC Hindi bulletin presents all the essential information on health, technology, lifestyle, science, all in 60 seconds. This special bulletin is available every hour Monday to Friday from 0800 IST to 1900 IST in 24 Indian cities via FM partners:

FM Tadka, Radio Misty, 94.3, Tomato FM and Radio Dhoom 104.8 FM. and FM Misty in 24 cities in India including Jammu and Srinagar.  (More details of FM frequencies in respective cities are in the notes section)
