BBC News unveils streaming service on Yahoo Japan

In order to expand its online reach in the region, BBC News has introduced a live news streaming service on Yahoo Japan. Users can access the service via the news section of Yahoo Japan's website.

The service offers five hours of live news and four hours of documentaries selected from the BBC’s 24-hour international news channel, BBC World News, with Japanese subtitles. It is available from 7am to 4pm on weekdays.

Programmes earmarked for live steaming include News Day, Asia Business Report, Hard Talk and Our World. The news comes after BBC’s Japanese news site, BBC News Japan, expanded its production capacity in April.
