Bhaskar Das quits Zee Media to take on new role at Zee Unimedia

Zee Media Corporation has informed BSE that Bhaskar Das has resigned as Group CEO - News Cluster of the company with effect from April 20, 2016. This follows Das’ appointment as President and Chief Growth and Innovation Officer at Zee Unimedia, the newly-formed entity of Essel Group.

As reported earlier, Zee Media has formed Zee Unimedia with a view to providing media planners with multiple options across genres and platforms and re-organising its advertisement sales function.

Ashish Sehgal has been made Chief Operating Officer of Zee Unimedia. He was earlier Chief Sales Officer at Zee. In his new role, Das will be reporting to Sehgal.
