BIG FM launches music video for Hawa Tight Hai campaign

As a part of its recently launched campaign, ‘Hawa Tight Hai’ which intends to find feasible solutions to make India a better place to reside for future generations, BIG FM, one of the largest networks in the country, gives its listeners a reality check through its theme song. The theme song, titled ‘Hawa Tight Hai’ features child artists who are highlighting their concerns over the rising pollution and its adverse effects.  The music video, RJ Khurafati Nitin in Delhi calls out for Dhaakads to raise their voice against the alarming causes of air pollution in the capital. This campaign is the next phase to BIG FM’s recently concluded ‘Delhi ke Dhaakad’ initiative which encouraged the residents of Delhi to raise their voice for women’s safety.

The 2-month campaign, led by RJ Khurafati Nitin in Delhi & RJ Vrajesh Hirjee in Mumbai, focuses on looking at the persistent issue of pollution from the perspective of a child as they are the ones who are highly impacted. Post extensive research and interacting with the future generation and their parents at various touch points, both the RJs felt the need to narrow down the causes of pollution in their respective cities.

While Delhi has been witnessing a severe case of air pollution, Mumbai has been suffering through various forms of pollution including air pollution, plastic pollution, noise pollution & pollution caused due to e-waste. RJ Khurafati Nitin in Delhi & RJ Vrajesh Hirjee in Mumbai are pioneering their respective causes with great fervor. Along with their army of environmentally conscious child RJs, both BIG FM RJs plan to emphasize parents and other adults into adapting a better lifestyle for the next generation. Further amplifying the message of the campaign with the help of these children, the radio station will be driving conversations and challenging notions to make everyone aware of their roles in addressing these critical issues.

BIG FM’s initiative is putting its best foot forward in making a change for the better by focusing on one major cause of pollution each week. In addition to this, the RJs will be connecting with experts, NGOs, celebrities, school heads, authorities, and listeners directly on a day-to-day basis and seeking out their insights on the issue.

Commenting on the song and initiative, BIG FM spokesperson, said, “There are a lot of conversations and noise about pollution and lots being said about people in action. But like our philosophy of Dhun Badal Ke Toh Dekho stands for, we believe that change starts with you. Our Dhaakad who believes that one should not sit on the ring but jump into the action will look at sensitizing and urging them to take a holistic view of the issue to find a solution. This also is demonstrated through tangible actions that if we put our mind to it and be participative in the change process, real change will happen.”

The radio station will also be engaging with the listeners on-ground to know their ideas and solutions that will make the city more clean and green. The listeners can register on 9323927927 and join in this BIG movement of changing mindset and attitude towards the most crucial issue of the country.
