'Blender's Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week' witnesses the participation of 22 designers

"A Lifestyle is what you pay for , a life is what pays you " was set true when the most awaited and eyed event flagged off in the Pink City of the royals. Storm Fashion presented the first Blender's Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week (BPJIFW). Held between15th to 19th at Clarks Amer ; witnessing participation from 22 designers from all over the country.

The Honorable Minister of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Bina Kak formally inaugurated the Blender's Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week (BPJIFW), gracing the occasion with her presence.

Theday one of the BPJIFW was flagged off with a pulsating show by Delhi based designers Rahul- Gunjan who dipped into the royal heritage of Rajasthan to create a craft and textile rich collection while the culmination witnessed the Delhi based celebrated designer duo Ashima- Leena showcasing the royal collection inspired from the splendor of Rajasthan.

Says Gaurav Sharma, Producer of BPJIFW," The event integrated some of the most talented names in the business of fashion from across the nationand gave Jaipur a chance to come on the fashion map. We have received a tremendous response from Jaipur market for the debut season of BPJIFW and we look forward to flag off a grand second season."

Day one, 15th September, of Blender's Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week (BPJIFW) proved a real treat to the eyesight of the people attending the show. Plethora of colors on the ramp transported the viewers to the rare colorful soil of traditional Rajasthan.The first show on day one was by the duo Rahul & Gunjan where Brand Ambassador Actor Anjana Sukhani added the glam quotient walking the ramp as a show stopper followed by designers Gaurav Katta from Jaipur, Parul & Ashie from Lucknow, Lina Tipnis from Mumbai and Mona & Pali from Kolkatta.

Day two, 16th September, of Blender's Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week (BPJIFW) treated Jaipur to a very vibrant showcase of men's fashion. From day to night, from office to club, BPJIFW recreated the look for the trendy male through four scintillating shows. Flagging off the evening with Shahid Amir's formal wear, the day witnessed Jaipur based designer Himmat Singh's interpretation of the Maharaja 2010 look. Young and talented Sharad Raghav and Sonia Verma dipped into folk lore and heritage to create an eclectic look for the male. As the finale for the day Riyaz Gangji created a look for the celebrated male.

Rajiv Singh, Gladrags super model 2000, was the show stopper for both Shahid Amir and Himmat Singh. Nandesh Sandhu of Uttaran fame walked the ramp for Mumbai designers Sharad Raghav & Sonia Verma..

Day three, 17th September, of Blender's Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week (BPJIFW) treated Jaipur to a very colorful collection by 4 very talented designers. The evening shows were Flagged off the with Mayyur Girotra western & Indian collection followed by Ankita Chaudhry of Saaj who presented a very colorful collection inspired by Peacock, the day also witnessed Jaipur based designer Aruna Singh's interpretation of royalty at Pushkar Mela and Niki Mahajan presented a rich & vibrant collection juxtaposing rich heirloom with modernity.

Ushoshi Sen Gupta, Miss India Universe 2010, walked the ramp as the show stopper for Mayur Girotra. Gulabo, the famous Kalbeliya dancer of Rajasthan and actor Sufi Syed were show stoppers for designer Aruna Singh.

Day Four. 18th September, of Blender's Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week (BPJIFW) had XYLO by Megha Grover followed by James Ferreira who presented a very colorful collection inspired by sharp tailoring techniques. The day also witnessed renowned designer Charu Parasher's interpretation of the royal Rajwada on the ramp while Archana Kochar presented a rich & vibrant Indian wedding collection in its full glory.

Successful Completion of The Blenders Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week witnessed an after party where all the party grooves' shook their legs to bolly-house music. Sowing the seed of fashion awakening and making small cities fashion capital as well, Storm Fashion Company promises to comeback in with fashion weeks in other part of the country as well.
