Blink Digital honored by Webby Awards 2020 for a third consecutive year

Blink Digital, a full-service, independent digital agency has been bestowed as an honoree in the 24th Annual Webby Awards by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. They have been honoured for their campaign named Hijacked Highlights’ Project for the best use of native advertising’ done for Dream 11. Blink Digital is the first Indian agency who marks the third consecutive year to be recognized by The Webby Awards for setting the standard for creativity and innovation on the Internet . Their campaign for Dream 11 is now a Webby Honoree for 2020 under the category of Advertising, Media & PR: Best Use of Native Advertising (Official Listing).

The campaign used a single pre-roll ad and placed it before YouTube videos of cricket highlights from the ICC World Cup 2019. This strategy to circumvent expensive sponsorships and instead use a digital trick to grab millions of eyeballs for Dream 11 led to a 40% increase in CTRs and in 50% better VTRs compared to industry benchmarks.

This strategy worked well in positioning Dream 11 as India’s biggest sports platform with over 70 million users by scaling up their brand recall. Continuing the remarkable work, Blink Digital again proves why it is known as an award-winning agency with this win.

Rikki Aggarwal, Co-founder, Blink Digital expressed his gratitude by saying, “We are honoured that our work has again been noticed by international platforms like Webby which gives us immense exposure at a global scale. It keeps driving us to come up with even more creative ways to build better campaigns for our clients. Dream 11 has been at the forefront of some really creative consumer engagement. This is just another step towards creating more brand recall and leadership in the space for them.”

Earlier, Blink Digital had bagged two awards for the Amazon Echo launch campaign in India, one award and an Honoree for KFC and an honoree for What IF drinks.
