Blink Digital, a full service digital agency, has been conferred as a Webby Honoree at the 22nd Annual Webby Awards by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The agency was awarded in the Advertising, Media, & PR: Best Event Activation category for its ‘What If’ de-stress machine for whatifdrinks.

As part of the activation, Blink Digital created a machine that detected and analysed users’ stress levels, and accordingly dispensed a whatif herbal cooler. Through this, it was able to serve a dual purpose by making users aware of how stressed they were, alongside providing them with a solution. Not only were fans and followers engaged successfully, but the campaign made waves across the media as well, proving to be a resounding success.

This is the second time that Blink Digital has won a Webby, with the agency previously bagging the People’s Choice Award for KFC Wow@25 AR app. The Webbys are the world’s biggest awards for excellence on the Internet, judged by a panel comprising over two thousand industry experts and technology innovators. Some of this year’s nominees included Oprah Winfrey and Ru Pal, among others.

Commenting on this win, Dooj Ramchandani, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Blink Digital said, “At Blink, our focus has been to create the most innovative digital experiences. With a brand like Whatif that provides a healthier option in this category, we wanted to raise the bar on ideation and new technology. Being recognised globally by the webby second time is no small feat, and acts as a great encouragement for us to continue with our vision.”
