Bollywood to play a solid gamble this Diwali!

Diwali - the festival of lights - brings prosperity in every sector and every year Bollywood plays a gamble of movies to churn out good money. Usually a multi films release on Fridays is considered suicidal but Diwali is the only time when filmmakers deliberately release their films.

In the past, multi film release has proved fruitful for the film Industry. Last year, for instance, Fashion and Golmaal Returns did decent business. So was the case with similar clashes in the past like Veer-Zaara and Aitraaz (2004) or Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998) when both releases did well at the box office.

This Diwali has three big releases lined up and all three seem to be enormously different from each other.

Asthavinayak Creations' much talked about underwater adventure film "Blue' has big names like Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Katrina Kaif and Zayed Khan to bank upon for its collections.

Produced by Ajay Devgan, "All The Best' promises to be a out-and-out rib-tickling comedy. The film stars Devgan himself along with Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu and Mughda Godse.

UTV Motion Pictures is releasing their romantic-comedy "Main Aurr Mrs Khanna' starring Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Sohail Khan.

According to the film critics these films should do good as Diwali is a time when people are willing to spend. So for an exception, even an average audience can watch more than one film.
