Brands Debut On Instagram Reel
Instagram launched its own short video feature called reel which allow users to record and edit 15-second multi-clip videos with audio, effects and new creative tools on Reels and share them with their followers on Feed. If the user have a public account they can make their reels available to the wider Instagram community through a new space in Explore. Similar to TikTok, Reels come with a ‘Use Audio’ option which will let others use your original audio to create their Reels.
This Short Video feature has not just leveraged the users but also brands to engage with the audience in a new way. Most brand engaged with the feature are from Entertainment or music industries. Despite the controversies of duplication, Instagram reel is been growing and used rapidly by the users since the launch. This could also means many more brands making their debut soon with their own unique concepts.
